Spirit Week, Superheroes, and So Much Heart!

What a week! Our halls were full of color, fun attire, and school pride as we celebrated Spirit Week. Thank you to every family who helped your child get dressed up, join in, and make this one of the most fun weeks of the year so far!

Spirit Week Recap

From the first day to the last, our students brought the energy!

Welcome to the Jungle Day: Our hallways turned wild with safari hats, animal prints, and explorers of every kind. Students and teachers alike got into the spirit, and classrooms were roaring with fun.
Team Tuesday: Students showed up in their favorite team jerseys and gear, cheering on everything from school athletics to hometown favorites. It was a great reminder of what it means to be part of a team!
Backwards Day: Shirts on backwards, backwards walking, even backwards greetings — this silly favorite always brings out the laughter and a whole lot of creativity.
Superhero Day: Capes, masks, and superpowers were everywhere! It was a joy to see so many kids (and staff) stepping into their favorite hero roles.
School Spirit Dress-Up Day: We wrapped up the week with a sea of school colors and gear, showing just how proud we are of our school.
Spirit Week is about more than dressing up. It builds friendships, gives students a sense of belonging, and reminds them that school is a place where they are seen and celebrated. A big thank-you to our teachers and staff who led the fun!

See You at the Pole

We were also so grateful for the wonderful turnout at our See You at the Pole prayer event. Normally, students gather around the flagpole to pray for their school, their friends, their teachers, and their community. However, with the beautiful rainfall we received, it was moved into our Chapel. It was a peaceful, encouraging morning, and we are proud of the students who led and took part. Thank you to the families who supported and encouraged them!

Homecoming Under the Lights

Spirit Week capped off with an unforgettable Friday night at the Homecoming game! The energy in the stands was electric, and one of the highlights of the night was the Silverback Tunnel — our students lined up to form a tunnel and cheered our football team onto the field. Seeing that kind of excitement and support from our student body was such a proud moment for our school. Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer, and to all the students who helped make our team's entrance one to remember!

Tip of the Week: Find the "Hero of the Day"

Superhero Day gives us a great idea for reinforcing learning and connection at home. At dinner or bedtime this week, try a quick round of "Hero of the Day":

Ask your child to share a hero moment from their day — a time they helped someone, tried something hard, or did the right thing.
Then ask, "What's one thing you learned today?" and let them teach you about it.
Share your own hero moment too, so it feels like a conversation instead of a quiz.
Explaining what they learned helps kids remember it, and celebrating kindness and effort builds the character we love to see at school. It takes just a few minutes and makes a big difference.

Thank you for being such an important part of our school community! We wouldn’t be the school we are without you! We have such amazing parents and families!
