Legacy Academy – High School Teacher

We are a private, Christian discipleship school serving preschool through grade 12 students. Our enrollment has been exponentially increasing with the drastic and ungodly changes to our public school system. Due to this growth we need teachers in science, math, and mid school. Legacy Academy – School Bus Driver (CDL)

Legacy Academy is seeking a dependable, safety-minded CDL School Bus Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students to and from school, athletic events, field trips, and other school-related activities.

This position plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of Legacy Academy while ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our students during transit. The ideal candidate is responsible, patient, professional, punctual, and committed to providing a safe and positive transportation experience for every student.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a school bus along designated morning and afternoon routes.
  • Transport students to athletic events, extracurricular activities, field trips, and other school-sponsored activities.
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly bus environment.
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, school transportation requirements, and Legacy Academy policies and procedures.
  • Safely assist students while boarding and exiting the bus.
  • Maintain appropriate student behavior and a respectful environment while students are on the bus.
  • Communicate courteously and professionally with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Promptly report accidents, incidents, maintenance needs, safety concerns, or other transportation issues to the Fleet Manager or Operations Director.
  • Maintain required driver documentation and certifications.
  • Participate in required safety, transportation, and school-specific training.
  • Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with both Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
  • Applicants must already possess the required CDL and P & S endorsements at the time of application.
  • Must meet all applicable federal, New Mexico, and Legacy Academy requirements for operating a school bus and transporting students.
  • Satisfactory motor vehicle/driving record and ability to maintain required driver qualifications.
  • Must meet applicable DOT medical qualification requirements and maintain required medical certification.
  • Must successfully complete required fingerprint-based background screening and criminal background checks.
  • Must successfully complete required DOT drug and alcohol testing and participate in the applicable testing program.
  • Must maintain all required licenses, endorsements, certifications, and training throughout employment.
  • Previous school bus or student transportation experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to punctuality, dependability, and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional when managing student behavior.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow established safety procedures and transportation policies.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Legacy Academy – Student Shuttle Driver (15-Passenger Vehicle)

Albuquerque, NM / PART-TIME

Legacy Academy is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Student Shuttle Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students in a 15-passenger shuttle vehicle.

This position is responsible for transporting students to and from school, athletic events, extracurricular activities, field trips, and other school-related activities. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual, patient, and committed to maintaining a safe and positive environment for students.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 15-passenger shuttle vehicle along assigned routes and schedules.
  • Transport students to and from school, athletic events, extracurricular activities, field trips, and other school-related activities.
  • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle environment.

  • Valid driver's license appropriate for operating the assigned vehicle.
  • CDL is not required for this position.

Legacy Academy – Social Media Coordinator

Albuquerque, NM / PART-TIME / Graphics & Communications

Legacy Academy is looking for a creative, dependable Social Media Coordinator to help tell the everyday story of our Christ-centered school community. This part-time role owns the day-to-day presence on Instagram (@legacyacademynm) and other school social channels, turning classroom moments, chapel, athletics, and campus events into content that connects with LA families and the wider community.

You’ll work closely with the Graphics Department to keep our social media and website feeling current, on-brand, and true to who we are, while helping staff, coaches, and a student volunteer team share what’s happening in their classrooms and programs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review photo, video, and update submissions from teachers, coaches, and staff (including the LA Social Media group chat) for daily posting.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content to Instagram and other platforms using our content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer).
  • Crop and format photos and videos to platform specs (4:5 for feed posts, 9:16 for Stories) and light editing/captioning as needed.
  • Write clear, warm, on-brand captions consistent with Legacy Academy’s voice and style guidelines.
  • Monitor comments and direct messages, responding promptly and appropriately or flagging items for follow-up.
  • Capture photo and video content on-site at select school events, games, performances, and chapel (some evenings/weekends required).
  • Recruit, schedule, and coordinate a student volunteer team to help gather photo, video, and story content across campus.
  • Maintain the Legacy Academy website, keeping pages, photos, staff listings, and event information current and accurate.
  • Coordinate with the Graphics Department and school administration to align posts and website updates with the school calendar, enrollment priorities, and any sensitive announcements.
  • Keep a simple content calendar and share basic engagement highlights periodically.
  • Immediately escalate any urgent, sensitive, or inappropriate content or comments to your supervisor.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience managing a social media account for a business, school, church, or organization preferred.
  • A good eye for photo and video composition; comfortable shooting and editing on a smartphone.
  • Familiarity with Instagram and content tools such as Buffer, Canva, or similar.
  • Strong, friendly written communication skills and good judgment about what’s appropriate to post.
  • Highly organized and reliable, comfortable keeping a consistent posting rhythm and leading volunteers.
  • Comfortable recruiting and directing student volunteers in a school setting.
  • Basic familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or similar) a plus.
  • A heart for Christian education and comfort being around students, families, and staff regularly.
  • Must be able to pass a background check per Legacy Academy / Legacy Church requirements.

Schedule:

Part-time, up to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling arranged with the Graphics Director. Some evening and weekend availability is needed for coverage of school events and athletics.

Academic Support Specialist - Grades 1st - 12th (Legacy Academy)

The Academic Support Specialist will support the academic success of students adversely affected and academically behind due to recent lapses and failures in public and/or online education. This role will provide individual and group tutoring and academic coaching. The Academic Support Specialist will facilitate significant gains in learning and achievement to bring students to a level on par with grade level peers who are using the Bob Jones curriculum. The Specialist is also responsible for assessing and reporting progress to parents and administration.

  • Provide academic coaching and support to students adversely affected by public and/or remote education.
  • Provide individual and group tutoring assistance to students, including, but not limited to, subject-specific content and study skills.
  • Plan, design, and conduct intensive tutoring that facilitates learning, and provide academic support for students to be able to achieve and perform at grade level, while empowering students to become active and engaged learners.
  • Prepare and conduct tutoring-program evaluations, and assess student-learning outcomes.
  • Collect data and generate reports that will assist in the evaluation of student-outcome assessment, and report required information as requested.
