Position Overview

Legacy Academy is seeking a dependable and safety-minded CDL School Bus Driver to provide daily transportation for students to and from school and to athletic events and other school-related activities. This role plays a vital part in supporting the daily operations of our school and ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during transit.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a school bus along designated morning and afternoon routes
Transport students to extracurricular events, including athletic games and school activities
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safe operation
Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and Legacy Academy transportation policies
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents in a courteous and professional manner
Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the Fleet Manager or Operations Director
Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
Clean driving record and strong safety record
Previous school bus driving experience preferred
Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability
Ability to manage student behavior calmly and respectfully while maintaining a safe environment
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Work Schedule

Morning Route: Approximately 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
Afternoon Route: Approximately 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Event Transportation: Additional hours as scheduled for sporting events and activities (mostly afternoons/evenings, occasional weekends)

What You'll Do:

  • Fill in for teachers who are out for short- or long-term absences, ensuring a smooth continuation of instruction and classroom order.
  • Work under the guidance of administration to support classroom learning and uphold Legacy Academy’s Christ-centered mission.
  • Gain experience across multiple grade levels and subjects, developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of Christian education.
  • Assist with pull-out sessions for individual students or small groups when not actively substituting.
  • Observe and learn from seasoned teachers to gain insight into classroom management, student dynamics, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with students, staff, and administration to ensure a consistent and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); college coursework or degree in Education, Math, English, or Science preferred.
  • Ability to meet state and federal requirements, including background check and fingerprinting.
  • Current CPR/Basic First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Job Title:
Facility Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Campus Pastor

Position
Summary

The Facility
Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the upkeep, safety, cleanliness,
and efficient operation of all Legacy Church facilities and campuses. This
position requires a combination of maintenance, custodial, and operational
responsibilities, with an emphasis on reliability, responsiveness, and a
commitment to excellence.

Primary
Responsibilities


     
  • Facility Maintenance: Responsible for the
      maintenance and repair of indoor and outdoor facilities across all
      campuses, including restrooms, doors, walls, ceilings, turf, landscaping,
      and parking lots.

  •  
  • Custodial Care: Perform general custodial
      tasks such as cleaning floors, replacing ceiling tiles, maintaining
      restrooms, and ensuring facilities are presentable at all times.

  •  
  • Communication: Respond promptly to
      maintenance-related phone calls, emails, and texts, generally within 24
      hours.

  •  
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance
      with safety standards, hazard prevention, and organizational policies.

Secondary
Responsibilities


     
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine
      maintenance on tools and equipment; identify and schedule service when
      needed.

  •  
  • Troubleshooting: Identify potential facility
      issues, determine root causes, and initiate timely repairs.

  •  
  • Problem-Solving: Apply logic, reasoning, and
      sound judgment to develop effective solutions.

General
Duties


     
  • Operational Support: Open and secure
      facilities as assigned, following established training and protocols.

  •  
  • Monitoring: Assess the performance of one’s
      own work and that of others to identify improvements or corrective action.

  • Policy Compliance: Adhere to all policies and
      procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Employee Handbook.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related
      janitorial or maintenance tasks or other assigned tasks to meet
      organizational needs.

Physical
& Work Requirements


     
  • Ability to lift and move objects in excess of 50 lbs,
      stand for extended periods, and climb ladders.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including
      evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work both independently and
      collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors in a
      variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and inclement
      weather.

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, and
      other substances associated with facility maintenance and custodial work.

  • Periodic exposure to loud noise, machinery, and
      construction-related activities.

  • Regular use of hand tools, power tools, ladders,
      lifts, and other equipment in accordance with safety training.

  • The position requires consistent physical activity,
      including bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and standing for extended
      periods.

Qualifications


     
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in facility maintenance, custodial
      work, or a related field preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing,
      electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is desirable.

  • Strong communication and time-management skills.

·      Organize, schedule & coordinate
events.

defined in Legacy Church Handbook.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort                        

·      
Moderate
physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds
or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Education and Experience


     
  • High school diploma is a must, however, a college
      degree is an added advantage
