Believe Fundraiser Kickoff!

It's been another great week, and the energy is building as we launch into a new chapter of school spirit and support. Thank you, as always, for everything you do at home to keep your child motivated and on track!

Believe Fundraiser Kicks Off

Today marked the exciting kickoff of our Believe Fundraiser! This is one of our biggest opportunities all year to support our school, and we can't wait to see our students get involved. Student packets went home today with information on how to participate, prizes, and how every dollar raised makes a difference for our programs and classrooms.

Thank you in advance for your support. Together, we make incredible things possible for our students!

Tip of the Week: Healthy Screen Time Habits

Screens aren't all bad news — used well, they can actually support your child's growth. Educational apps and shows can reinforce reading and math skills, video calls help kids stay connected to family, and age-appropriate games can build problem-solving and hand-eye coordination. Screen time also gives kids downtime to decompress after a full day of learning and socializing. The goal isn't to eliminate screens, but to ensure they add value rather than crowding out sleep, play, reading, and face-to-face time.

  • Set a daily screen time window. A predictable start and stop time (rather than an open-ended "a little while") helps avoid the nightly negotiation.

  • Keep homework and recreational screens separate. If possible, finish schoolwork before recreational screen time begins, so the two don't overlap.

  • Co-view or co-play when you can. Watching a show or playing a game together, even occasionally, opens the door to conversation about what they're seeing and learning.

  • Build in screen-free wind-down time before bed. Turning off screens 30–60 minutes before bedtime promotes better sleep, which in turn supports better focus at school the next day.

  • Model it yourself. Kids notice when screen habits apply to everyone in the house, not just them.

Small, consistent boundaries make a bigger difference than strict rules enforced only sometimes.

Looking Ahead

Fall Break: No school on Thursday, October 8, and Friday, October 9. We hope every family enjoys a restful long weekend!
