Perry Rigby

Perry Rigby serves as the Head Baseball Coach at Legacy Academy, bringing a deep passion for player development, competitive excellence, and Christ-centered leadership to the program. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Covenant College in Sociology, Marketing, and Coaching.

Coach Rigby has more than 11 years of baseball coaching experience and three years of teaching experience, with leadership roles spanning varsity programs and travel/club baseball. He played four years of collegiate baseball, beginning his career on a full Division I scholarship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before transferring to Covenant College, where he helped lead the team to back-to-back conference championships and postseason appearances and earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Following his collegiate career, Coach Rigby served as head coach for multiple travel programs in Georgia and New Mexico. He also led the varsity program at Harvester Christian Academy, improving the team’s win total by 50 percent and helping several players advance to collegiate baseball programs, including schools in the SEC and ACC.

At Legacy Academy, Coach Rigby is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. He believes in building personal relationships with players, sharpening their skills, and helping them grow in their faith. His vision for the program is rooted in putting God first, others second, and self last, while pursuing excellence and a state championship culture.

Perry and his wife, Christi, live in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with their three children, JT, Lilli, and Rafa.
